Penguin is owned and operated by a Fairfax County first responder. It’s part of the charming Prince William County town of Occoquan which is a destination in and of itself. There are several restaurants along the river. The Occoquan River is generally calm and narrow here, so it’s a good location for new kayakers. Occoquan is scenic and there are bridges for VA 123, Interstate 95 and US 1 to paddle under.
