2023 SEASON: Open daily through Labor Day except July 5
The only Boating in DC location in Northern Virginia, the marina offers kayak rentals underneath the roar of airliners coming and going from National Airport.
The Potomac River is wide and tidal here, so it’s a good place for new kayakers or all ages to get started. The southern boundary is all the way down to the Wilson Bridge, so paddlers can get a view of Alexandria. Across the other side is Joint Forces Base Anacostia Boling.
In addition to kayaking and the active marina is a restaurant.
NOTA BENE: Boating in DC season passes are not honored at Washington Sailing Marina.
