Key Bridge Boathouse

WEB SITE: Boating in DC

2023 SEASON: Open daily starting April 15

Online reservations required

The “flagship” of Boating in DC boasts views of Georgetown, Theodore Roosevelt Island, Three Sisters Islands, Watergate, the Kennedy Center, Rosslyn, bridges and upriver. It’s the downriver extent of the Potomac River Gorge as well.

Since its in Georgetown, it’s not very close to Metro rail and has limited parking. The Capital Crescent Trail’s eastern terminus is just yards away though. It’s still the most popular Boating in DC location. Key Bridge Boathouse tends to be one of the first to open and last to close.

There are plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance, though sadly the Berliner is no longer one of them.

Getting there

🚲 – Capital Crescent Trail; C&O Canal Towpath
🚌 – 30S, 30N, 31, 33, 38B
🅿 -$
