Livan Hernandez finally pitched well, giving up two earned runs over seven innings (and two unearned in an unlucky 4th inning); but Cubs starter Carlos Zambrano shut the Nats’ bats down. Frank Robinson and Jim Bowden met for 25 minutes behind closed doors afterward, but would only say that they chatted.

Do you hear that noise? It is the sound of Marc Fisher groaning. The Nats are keeping spring training in stripmall-land for another decade. Who knows, maybe in ten years Viera will be a more desirable place. Ooh! That could mean another Panera!
At the very least, hopefully they can do something about those awful teal seats.
