Nats take first game in Atlanta

Nationals Win Fifth Game in a RowThe Post
Prior to last night, LIVAN! had as many wins at Turner Field as I did. Fortunately, that ended with last night’s 5-4 victory. He only went six innings and gave up four runs, but he got the job done and even contributed at the plate, knocking in his sixth RBI of the season in the Nats five run sixth.

Chad Cordero came in the ninth, promptly recorded two outs and then loaded the bases. He got out of the jam though and a curly W went in the book. It was an important win for both LIVAN! and Cordero who have had their troubles aganist Atlanta in the past, at least when the late Eric Gregg (Philly Daily News) was not behind the plate.

THOMAS BOSWELLWait Till Next Year, And the Year AfterThe Post
Nothing new here, Bos is wants the team traded for prospects, despite suddenly being hot.

Brain types can be painfulThe Wash. Times
There is more on the Brain Type Insititute that Jim Bowden seems to like so much. It seems that Bowden may have overstated BTI’s involvement with the Nationals. I know, it is shocking to think Bowden may be exaggerating about something. Is there anything else to believe in?

Zimmerman rests back another dayThe Wash. Times & Zimmerman Misses Second Straight GameThe Post
3B Ryan Zimmerman was given another day off due to back spasms. I am still waiting for Bowden to say “if this was a pennant race he would play.” Also, John Patterson is expected to pitch for the P-Nats tomorrow night in Woodbridge.
