More on new Nats TV anaylst F.P. Santangelo

Here is what my friend David, a Washingtonian living in the city of San Francisco, had to say about new Washington Nationals color commentator F.P. Santangelo:

He’s pretty good. I don’t know when he started at KNBR (Giants AM station), but I listened to his show a fair amount at night when driving home. I think I only heard him call one game though. We’re spoiled with Jon Miller.

David’s endorsement is a strong one and he is spoiled with Miller. I still laugh at Peter Angelos for letting him go for not being a big enough homer.

Jim Williams of the Wash. Examiner talked to Santangelo’s former boss, ed Griggs the vice president and general manager of Comcast SportsNet Bay Area:

New Nat’s broadcaster F.P. Santangelo will be missed in the Bay Area

Then he spoke to the man himself:

Jim Williams: Santangelo gets analyzed

From what I have heard, in addition to Miller, the Giants have a strong broadcasting team, so hopefully, Santangelo has learned from them and will be giving us useful analysis, unlike Rob Dibble, who got fired last season after 1 1/2 seasons of terrible color commentary.
