Nats sweep homestand, Soriano (probably) never coming back

Nationals Sweep Away the GiantsThe Post
The Nats won their sixth straight behind the pitching of Livan Hernandez (7IP 3R 5K) and hitting of Alfonso Soriano (1HR 2R 2BB). Both could be gone by the time the team returns to Washington. Thanks fellows.

The 6-5 win before just under 30,000 brough the Nats record to 46-56, not great but half a game behind Balmer in the battle for Beltways supremacy.

THOMAS BOSWELLAs Attachment Grows, Perhaps Soriano Should Stick AroundThe Post
Bos: “Please please please do not go.” Of course, telling that Soriano is pointless, it is Jim Bowden and Stan Kasten who are going to pulling the trigger. As painful as it may be, it is the right thing to do. Soriano has been at his absolute peak this month and will likely not approach these numbers again when the club approaches contention.
