I have added a whole bunch of blogs to the navigation. Some of these bloggers I have had the pleasure of meeting at recent events.
Washington Nationals
Nats320 – Nats320 is a blog by a group Washington National season ticket holders in section 320. We are the friendliest and LOUDEST section in RFK. We are famous for our CHEERING. We are the ones who started the Jose Guillen cheer “Jose Jose Jose Jose, Jose Jose” to the tune of the famous soccer chant “Hooray, Hooray,Hooray Hooray, Norway!! Hooray, Norway!!”
WFY sez: Great site, lots of photos. I should have gotten this up sooner.
Church of Baseball – Reds fan by birth. Nats fan by residence. Baseball fan by the grace of God.
WFY sez: Sister Daedalus is enduring the reign of Jim Bowden for a second time.
BeltwayLand
Mr. Irrelevant’s Sports Blog – Brought to you by Sports Bloggers Live host, Cold Pizza guest, Technorati luminary and D.C.-area superfan Jamie Mottram
WFY sez: Jamie is a juggernaut in the sportsblogging world who throws good happy hours.
Bleatings From a Caps Nut – A perspective on the Washington Capitals, the NHL, D.C. Sports teams, and the world of sports in general from a barely hinged observer.
WFY sez: CapsNut has been around for one week and it has already been Off Wing-ed. One thing though Vince — open up the comments!
AwfulAnnouncing – I’ve been telling friends for years that I was going to start a site where I vented my frustrations on Sports Announcers, Color Commentators, and SportsCenter Hosts. This is that attempt…hope you enjoy. (and if you don’t please send good hate mail) While this is the attempted purpose it will most certainly break from form every other day. Please feel free to send in your own musings on sports, and if I (the almighty) deem them worthy, I will post them for the world to enjoy.
WFY sez: He’s fed up with ESPN, can’t say I blame him.
Beyond DC – Profiles of the city’s neighborhoods and landmarks, along with suburban sites.
WFY sez: I stumbled onto it looking for Carpool’s Web site.
FreeRide – The blog component to The Post’s Express tabloid.
WFY sez: This is run by one of the founding editors of DCist.
Sour N Sweet – The gooey middle and the rough underbelly of life..or something
WFY sez: I met Sweet (along with DC Sports Chick) at the Metroblogging DC 2nd Birthday Picnic. Cool chick, cool site. She also recognizes that if you are going to put up Piñata videos on YouTube, you have to start with yourself before others. Does that make sense?
The peoples
I added two of my Metroblogging DC co-authors Wayan Vota and Don Whiteside. Wayan is a world traveler, serial blogger, and non-stop party. Don is a witty observer of the human condition who makes nice mirrors. These probably may not be worksafe.
Now if we can only get a few of you that are on the fence to get it together and get your blogs off the ground, we’d really be on to something.
