Okay, Washington D.C. area high school/college drama departments, I have a call to action for you. I’m sure some of you are thinking about doing Damn Yankees one of these years, but you need to reboot it. I suggest that you modernize it a little, make it Damn Phillies. It would not require much to update the play for the 21th century, just a little “find-and-replace” (Nationals replaces Senators, Phillies replaces Yankees) in the script and its done. I’ll buy a pair of tickets and blog about it, I promise.

Last night’s loss was the fifth in six games this season against the Philadelphia Phillies for the Washington Nationals. John Lannan fell to 0-10 against the Fleas. The Nats fell to 14-17. There goes the streak of every starter completing 5 innings too.
