Paterno on CBS Evening News tonight – CDT
Penn State head football coach Joe Paterno will be featured on the CBS Evening News with Katie Couric tonight.

Senior news correspondent Byron Pitts conducted the interview, which focuses on the “Success With Honor” principles and values of Paterno and Penn State more than football.

Should be interesting to see how it turns out. It was done before the season began.

UPDATE: Here is the full interview (recap) that includes more than the TV story and is much more interesting. Not surprisingly, there is a little bit false modesty in there along with the Paterno charm that comes out for national media, but not local media.

He might get himself in a little bit of trouble too for a few things he had to say.
