STONE HARBOR, N.J. — Last year, one of the first things I noticed when I got to Seven Mile Island was that Springer’s, the ice cream parlor that my family has been going to for at least 4 generations, had changed its sign. I didn’t photograph it though, so I figured I would this year.

Then they changed the sign again.

Here is what the sign looked like in 2010 (couldn’t find one without a copyright to display).

Prior to 2010, this was the Springer’s sign:

I liked the old sign. The lines are still just as long because the ice cream is just as good and that’s what matters.
