Awesome, the Washington Nationals beat the Cincinnati Reds last night, 6-4. Chien Ming Wang got the win, despite giving up a lot of fly balls because he was “too strong” and his sinker wouldn’t sink (The Post) and 4 runs. Ryan Zimmerman (who called it in the dugout according to The Wash. Examiner) and Michael Morse, who is on pace for the best OPS since baseball returned to D.C. (The Wash. Times), homered.
Game 1 of the series is in the books with a curly W next to it, but it seems like of late, that’s the only win they get in a series. Ross Detwiler on the mound tonight doesn’t inspire confidence for 2 in a row.
In other news, Thomas Boswell is at least thinking about the Kool-Aid in the glass before he shotguns it, so progress, right?
