I expect Joe Paterno on the sidelines this Saturday one way or the other. Whether it is on a “rascal” or in a wheelchair I think he will be on the field rather than in a booth. I like to think he’d powering his own wheelchair, rolling back and forth down the sidelines. Either way, I can’t see him being content in the booth and I cannot imagine the other coaches would enjoy that scenario much either. If he tries the booth, he’ll only be up there for the first half.

I think I have already mentioned that Joe and Sue will probably have a lot to talk about this offseason. If his health does not change, I do not see a scenario where he steps down. If the team plays poorly, he’ll want to fix it. If the team plays well, he’ll think they are almost back to 2005 levels.
