Here, in the land of Mickey and Goofy, in the midst of a spiraling free agent market that sometimes stretches the imagination, could the lowly Nationals somehow find a place at the center of the most intricate, most explosive chain of personnel moves of this offseason?

The Post story is short on specifics, but The Wash. Times notes that closer Chad Cordero could be involved along with Ryan Church. I want Church out of here so he gets a chance to make something of himself, but I am not crazy about losing Cordero.

Notes: Loss of Guillen nets draft picknationals.com
Offering RF Jose Guillen arbitration has yielded an extra draft pick since he signed with the Mariners. Also, the Nats trainer is out, but it has nothing to do with the Gary Majewski saga.
