Arlington’s Glebe Road… Oregon Route 120?

Oregon Route 120?

ARLINGTON, Va. — In Northern Virginia, route markers are not used as much as they should be.  Arlington County and the city of Alexandria are particularly bad, so anytime one is actually used, that’s a good thing.

However, that route 120 shield doesn’t look like a standard Virginia primary state highway marker, does it?

The reason — its actually the shape of the Oregon state route marker:

Quite the sign goof, certainly by a third-party vendor.

Also, I have never once heard Glebe Road referred to as “Route 120” or anything similar, always Glebe.

Lastly, Arlington forget to put primer on the mast arms/poles at this intersection. The black pant started peeling almost immediately. It looks terrible.
