Sara Ganim, Patriot-News win Pulitzer Prize for Jerry Sandusky coveragePatriot-News
In one of the least surprising developments of the scandal Jerry Sandusky has plunged Penn State into is the announcement that Sara Ganim (Journalism, 2008) has won the Pultizer Prize for her Patriot-News reporting. Specifically, it is for Local Reporting:

Awarded to Sara Ganim and members of The Patriot-News Staff, Harrisburg, Penn., for courageously revealing and adeptly covering the explosive Penn State sex scandal involving former football coach Jerry Sandusky.

This saga has been brutal for all Penn Staters and of course they boys involved, but we can take pride that Ganim has reported the story fairly and vigorously. She is a credit to the College of Communications, the entire university and her profession.
