Nats, Snelling Agree; Other Deals Pending – The Post
The Nats avoided arbitration with OF Chris Snelling yesterday, signing him for $450,000, but have yet to agree to deals with closer Chad Cordero, oft-injured OF Alex Escobar, RF Austin Kearns, 2B Felipe Lopez and P John Patterson. They are scheduled to have their their hearings next month if they don’t cut deals with the team

Also, 1B Nick Johnson had screws removed from his right leg which was broken in a September collision. Don’t count on him for Opening Day.
