Slow-go lure of ‘Ritz in the sky’ – Metro (UK)
While the domestic blimp news is bad, I did learn of good news from a British rag:
It is a blimp the size of two football pitches which is being touted as a ‘flying luxury hotel’…But, as it will fly below 2,400m (8,000ft), the 250 passengers will have not clouds to look at but all the sights of the world down below.
Tire of the views and there’s always a casino, restaurants and glass walkways that snake throughout, to keep passengers amused.
The Aeroscraft will be able to fly thousands of miles without refuelling.
And, because it floats so low, there will be no need to pressurise cabins.
