Avalon’s flood plan is declared ‘amazing’ – The Inky
One of my favorite shore towns is so well prepared for floods that insurance premiums for homeowners there have been lowered. Left unsaid in the article is that Avalon (and Stone Harbor) has a huge beach with good dunes which means flooding shouldn’t be severe there as a rule. The gentle slope of the beach also means less erosion too.
