Wouldn’t it be cool if the NFL assigned each team a regular out of conference opponent annually? Since so many teams from opposite conferences play in a the same or an adjoining state there are several natural rivalries just waiting to happen.

Intrastate

Redskins vs. Ravens
Cowboys vs. Texans
Rams vs. Chiefs
Giants vs. Jets
49ers vs. Raiders
Dolphins vs. Buccaneers
Eagles vs. Steelers

Adjoining states

Browns vs. Lions
Bears vs. Colts
Cardinals vs. Broncos (shared corner might have to do)

Beyond those teams there are some other rivals that are kind a little forced, but commonality can be found between some of them.
