Five Penn State alums were drafted by the NFL this past weekend:

The Cardinals drafted Levi Brown with the fifth pick. I never thought he was quite that good, but I guess we’ll see with him gone how things go. He did get throw out the first pitch at a Diamondbacks game (Arizona Republic) though.

Paul Posluszny fell to the second round where Buffalo snatched him up (Buffalo News). He’ll wear #51 there.

Tony Hunt went to the Iggles where he should fit in very well (Philly Daily News, I think).

Jersey native DT Jay Alford was drafted by his favorite team (Star-Ledger) the Giants.

Tim Shaw got picked by Carolina. I’ll be very interested to see how he turns out since he kept changing positions at Penn State. The Charlotte Observer didn’t see fit to write a story about Shaw though.
