PAXTONIA, Penna. — While not technically a “fire hall wedding,” yesterday’s reception in a EMS training facility had the spirit. Naturally, the fire alarm went off as we entered. There were also Jello shots, which was new to this kind of event, at least to me.

Peter SchmuckSelig delay game may leave contraction as Expos’ possible future homeThe Sun

Baltimore’s #1 Schmuck thinks Bud Selig is holding out on making a decision on the Expos because he will unpopular in either Baltimore or Washington. He is on to something there, because Selig’s tenure is marked by never making a decision. Still, being who he is, Schmuck also has this to say:

The Orioles are scheduled to hold their D.C. FanFest on Aug. 18, but I don’t think it’s a very good idea.

The event is just going to draw fans away from the Baltimore FanFest in January and leave both cities poorly equipped to put on successful FanFests in the future. If Orioles fans in the nation’s capital want to have a fest, they should be willing to drive to Baltimore from Washington.
