Micah Bowie is the latest reliever to get the job done as a starter for the Nats. He benefited from strong defense from Felipe Lopez and Austin Kearns (a diving catch near the wall and assist for a double play). In all, he gave up two runs over five innings. The bullpen held on, giving up two runs (Saul Rivera and Jon Rauch) over four innings. Chad Cordero had a perfect ninth for his seventh save.

At the plate, CF Nook Logan went 2 for 4 with 2 RBI and 1 R. C Brian Schneider also had two RBI. SS Crisian Guzman had 1 RBI too.
