That is what I should have called the previous Capitals uniform post, but I’m not always witty that early in the morning.
Paul Lukas made the new threads the primary topic of today’s UniWatch. He gives the Caps a B- which is about right. Had they put stars all over it* instead of just three, it could have been a B+. An A simply wasn’t possible with the script logo.
I think it looks better in white, but they will wear red at home for at least another season. Also, the red jerseys will be paired with blue helmets. Back when the Caps wore blue sweaters, they wore black helmets.
I realize I have spent exactly zero time talking about the draft. Well, the uniforms are an absolute, while the draft picks are no sure thing and probably won’t show up in the red, white and blue for a couple of years. I just can’t get excited about about drafts or college football recruiting.
Lastly, I’m glad to see that Caps blogs are also moving to the new colors.
