First round draft pick P Ross Detwiler has signed with the Nationals (The Wash. Times). He will start off in the Gulf Coast League and then head to Potomac. If all goes well, he’ll head up to AA Harrisburg and possibly the majors in September. Let’s not get ahead of ourselves.

Ryan Zimmerman is having fun (The Wash. Examiner) despite the Nats record and looking forward to four days off for the All-Star break. He may just go home.
