Washington 14 FLORIDA 10 (ESPN Boxscore)
Jason Bergmann has suffered from a lack of run support this season, so much so that he had only one win in 11 starts. Last night, the Nats gave him eight runs of support, but Bergmann still didn’t get a decison because he couldn’t get out of the fifth inning. Manny Acta came to the pitchers mound and instructed the hurler that he was getting a chance to get the win, but would be yanked if he couldn’t get out of th inning. He couldn’t and he was gone.
The Nats victimized five of the sevin Florida pitchers to appear, but none more than Dontrelle Willis. In 3 2/3’s innings they tagged the D-train for eight runs. It could have been worse with Ryan Zimmerman flying out about 424 feet into centerfied — that would have been a homer in any other park.

Ryan Langerhans spent the All-Star break deeping sea fishing wtih Ryan Church. Langerhans is in moderate danger of losing playing time (The Post) with the return of Alex Escobar. Of course, Escobar will be hurt by the middle of the first inning, so Langerhans probably will miss very little time.
Dimitri Young enjoyed the All-Star game and some sleep afterwards. Shawn Hill is ansty to get back on the mound.
