When I read that I immediately thought of Penn State’s fencing team. Sure enough, when I click through to the article, I see a fencer, named Megan Luteran of Penn State. Go figure.
Penn State has won 10 of 18 national fencing championships. Despite that, they have had to clean up Beaver Stadium on Sundays to make money. They won’t this year, something the article acknowledges, because Joe Paterno is making the football team do it.
