#12 Penn State Nittany Lions vs. Buffalo Bulls
LAST WEEK
Penn State crushed hated rival Notre Dame, 31-10.
THIS WEEK’S OPPONENT: BUFFALO BULLS
Buffalo has yet to distinguish itself as Division I-A program, last week’s thrashing of 42-7 Temple notwithstanding. They are also running into an ambush.
Back in 1900, Penn State and Buffalo played. Surprisingly, Buffalo won 10-0 and the series went on hiatus. If there is one theme this week it is
REVENGE!
This is 107 years in the marking! Buffalo is about to enter a world of pain such that head coach Turner Gill has never experienced.Losing to Penn State as Nebraska quarterback in 1982? Nope. Losing the National Title on a failed two-point conversion? Nothing compared to what he will face when his Bulls see the steamroller that is Penn State. Oh it could get ugly for the only SUNY school with a I-A team. That 38-3 loss to Rutgers is nothing.
RANKING
#12, climbing steadily
PRESS CONFERENCE TRANSCRIPT
Here is the official Intercollegiate Athletics transcript of Tuesday’s press conference.
TELEVISION
Big11Ten Network, leaving you four options: 1.) go to a bar showing the game 2.) go to the game 3.) go to a friend’s house with a satillite 4.) go see another college football game. I’m combining 3 & 4 as it will be taped and waiting for me after seeing Yale at Georgetown.
PREDICTIONS
52-10. Regrettably, Buffalo will score a touchdown, but Penn State’s superior athletes will rule the day. Hopefully no one will get hurt and Penn State will run in the first half.
GO STATE, BEAT BULLS!
