Peter Gammons – Renewed sense of DC dignity – ESPN.com
Hype, hype, and hype from Peter Gammons. Apparently, Nats merch is second only to the Red Sox (and their bandwagon fanbase) in sales, an impressive feat given that a week before Christmas the team was dead and that “there are no baseball fans in Washington,” according to Peter Angelo$. I have contributed by buying a cap, shot glass, Christmas ornament, and a mini pennant. Someone has ordered me another cap too (back-ordered) and I did get a bumper sticker. More to come when I get money, but I have a wedding to save for these days.
