2016 Presidents Day Storm drops 4 inches of powdery snow on Alexandria, Va.

President's Day 2016 snow fall in Alexandria, Va.

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — It’s Presidents Day, so there must be snow, right? It seems like a pretty standard thing in BeltwayLand. We had it last year and since it occurred during Mardi Gras, I dubbed that one the Fat President’s Storm, patron – William Howard Taft.

Back to the present, the snow portion of today’s storminess seems over and the total comes out to about 4 inches of beautiful powder. Oh to be skiing in it!

Thanks (?) to Snowzilla, we’ve exceeded last year’s snow total today according to Capital Weather Gang.

We’ll have ice and then rain later today and into tomorrow. I predict delays and closings and teleworking. And slush, lots of slush.
