Carroll H. Cook (’54 Pitt) hasn’t had a lot to say of late about Penn State and this week is no different.

Mario (New Orleans, LA): After the LSU-Florida game Saturday, all I could say was wow. I felt privileged to be at that game. Now looking at the rankings at examples like USF and UF. UF could beat a lot of the team above them and conversely I think USF is inferior to some of the teams under them. Do you find the ranking don’t reflect how good some teams are and that they are more a reflection of a teams hype and record, than whether they are the better team? Your thoughts?

SportsNation Beano Cook: (3:03 PM ET )
Jackasses like me said Penn State would win the Big Ten. The media overhype some teams, people that know nothing. We have eight weeks to go and then the conference playoffs. A lot can happen, so don’t get too caught up with the rankings…

Beano, you look like a jackass regardless of your Penn State prediction.

Britt Altoona Pa: As a receiver at Penn State, how frustrated would you be that Morelli is screwing up you chances to play at the next level

SportsNation Beano Cook : (3:42 PM ET ) That is a ridiculous statement.

Why is it ridiculous statement, Beano? Is it because it comes off as unfair to Morelli or because the Penn State receivers are not very good?
