Snickers Gap Tree Farm

ROUND HILL, Va. — I have always been a believer is having a natural tree at Christmas and prefer to cut one down myself. For the second consecutive year, Erica and I went to Snickers Gap Christmas Tree Farm in Round Hill to cut down our tree. We had been going to a few spots on the Belmont Ridge Road corridor, but Snickers Gap is superior to other area farms. The farm, literally located at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains west of Leesburg, has acres of quality trees of several different varieties. Erica found our tree within minutes of our arrival. Unfortunately, it was awfully foggy, so we didn’t get a chance to take some good photographs.

The operation is efficiently run by friendly staff. Saws and twine are available on site and credit cards are accepted. Hot apple cider is provided as well.

DIRECTIONS: Take VA 267 WEST (Dulles Toll Road/Greenway) to VA 7 WEST. Follow VA 7 past Round Hill. At the base of the Blue Ridge, turn right onto Williams Gap Road (unpaved). The farm is on the left about 1/4 of a mile down the road.
