Nationals to Start the Season With a Better Feel for PitchingThe Post
The Nats pitching situation isn’t the free-for-all it was last spring training (when 37 pitchers arrived vying 37 spots) but it isn’t set in stone or even wet cement. Shawn Hill, John Patterson and Jason Bergmann all have the “if they could stay healthy” cloud hanging over their heads. Matt Chico lead the team in innings pitched last year and was decent. There are also “a young group of arms that includes John Lannan, Collin Balester, Tyler Clippard, Garrett Mock and eventually even Ross Detwiler, last year’s first-round pick, is developing with varying degrees of promise. The talent, the Nationals believe, is more concentrated.”

As much as we would like ¡LIVAN! back, I understand why the team isn’t apparently that interested.

The Post’s spring training preview, a mere one page plus the aricle linked above, is available only in PDF form online.

Also, Nats320 reveals that Nationals Park will be serving Coca-Cola products instead of Pepsi. Boo!

Details on single game ticket sales (Chatter) will be announced tomorrow.
