RHP Tim Redding, my preference to get the ball on Opening Night over of Odalis Perez, suffered back spasms yesterday. While it is being suggested that they are not serious, I can’t help but wonder if he’ll be rolled out for the National Anthem in a wheelchair.
In all seriousness, even if Redding is out, their are several pitchers in line to take his spot. In all likelihood, John Lannan would be the one.
GM Bowden Is Actively Trying To Trade López – The Post

Crybaby IF Felipe López is on the block, but for now he’ll probably be riding the bench. Hopefully, GM Jim Bowden can trick someone into trading something meaningful for Mr. Bad Attitude.

The Marlins beat the Nats yesterday. Also, Ray King got his option picked up, so he made the 25-man roster.
Also, with Will Nieves being reassigned, Jesus Flores will be on the Nationals roster as the second catcher.
