After being shut out last night, the Nats returned the favor and beat the Cubs 2-0. American Hero John Lannan pitched seven scoreless innings. The last time he gave up a run was several Saturdays ago when I was at the game. I think I heard he has not given up a run in something like 18 innings.

Luis Ayala and Jon Rauch continued to the shutout.

It was a good day to be a Wil — Wily Mo Pena and very likable Will Nieves each drove in runs.
