Two rain delays, including a two-hour one before the game, could not stop the Nationals, nor could the cowardly subsidized Orioles. John Lannan gave up only one run over 7 1/3. The bullpen did not give up any runs. SS Cristian Guzman had a solo homer and Ryan Zimmerman knocked in the winning run. He is up to 25 RBI and 8 HR — he had a good road trip.

The series went just like last year’s — Orioles won the first two, then the Nats won the third. In fact, the Nats then swept the Orioles in D.C.
