TODAY, AT 3:05 P.M., OUR DREAM IS REALIZED

How many years have we waited for this day? Finally, after so much waiting and so many disappointments, a team representing Washington will play a real major league game.

I plan on being there with WWN Associate Editor Fritz Hamme and WWN Ombudsman Matthew J. Clifford. For those of you not there, the game is to be telecast on WDCA/Channel 20 and MLB.com. Mel Proctor and newly hired Ron Darling will be calling the action.

In the interest of time, I am going to run only headlines today. If I get home in time, I will get a photo album up this evening.
