After Pope John Paul II died, I got some critical e-mails from someone who felt that I should have made mention of his passing. I probably should have forwared that to the Ombudsman, and let him weigh in. However, I did not, but I will next time.

Anyway, I did not feel I had anything to add, so I refrained. Now that there is a new pope, I still do not think I have anything to contribute, so I will defer to my mother (The Wash. Examiner) for commentary.
