A few quick notes on the Penn State loss to Iowa:
I can’t remember being this angry about a loss in a long time.
There is no point in holding the ball for 24 minutes in the first half if you only get one touchdown
The play of the game, Daryll Clark‘s interception was an uncharacteristic call by Penn State. Usually, in that situation, they play it safe and go for the field goal. Better to screw up trying to extend a drive than running up the middle for two yards and fumbling. In the end though, they still screwed up.
The secondary played poorly. I choose to blame Anthony Scirrotto, mostly because he is a punk who should have never been named captain after the April 1, 2007 incident. He probably should not have been allowed back for that matter. That pass interference call against him was iffy though.
