I made it out to RFK last night with the WWN ombudsman, who is a Phillies fan. After having seen the Nats lose in his town, it was only appropriate he see the Phillies lose in my town. I will have more to say about the evening later today or tomorrow. I am tired this morning.

Patterson’s Arm, Nats’ Bats Spark WinThe Post
Nationals 3, Phillies 1
P John Patterson settled down after giving up a run in the first. He went the next 5 2/3 without giving up another run, a solid performance. Nick Johnson hit a dinger in the first to tie it up. Phillies starter Jon Lieber scattered a few hits, but the Nats did not get any more runs until Brad Wilkerson got the first RFK upper deck homer since 1971, to add two more runs, including the winning run. One bad thing — Johnson got hurt when he fouled off a pitch on his knee. He will sit out today.
