Somebody, probably GM Jim Bowden, is trying to lower expectations for us by saying that free agents are asking for more than expected, so don’t be shocked if Adam Dunn and Orlando Hudson are not wearing curly W’s next season.
I say do not be heartbroken either because unless they suddenly developed into pitchers capable of winning 20 games, they were not going to lead the Nats to the playoffs.
I really think that the 2009 Nats are at least ten games better than the 2008 version. Last year everyone was hurt and hopefully that will not happen again next year. I also really think that free agents costing too much or not, the Nats need a real GM.
