SHOULD WE CARE WHAT PATERNO MAKES?

The Patriot-News is suing Penn State to find out the salaries of Joe Paterno and top university officials. Penn State says it does not have to divulge those numbers because it is not a state institution, merely a state-related one. While I am a proponent of Sunshine Laws, I do not care how much JoePa makes and do not see. For one thing, his salary is paid for by Intercollegiate Athletics, which is 100% self-sustaining, so he is not taking any state money in salary. There are bigger fish to fry and the Patriot should spend its resources going after those instead of JoePa.
