WASHINGTON, D.C. — I was pretty happy with the Nationals new away jersey when it was unveiled late last year. Not having or wanting to drop $200 on a authentic jersey, I was very curious to see how the replica jersey would look and what it would cost. After seeing it up close in the Nationals Park team store turned I was disappointed. Rather than stitch the “Washington” script onto the jersey like the circa 2005 home replica jersey I have, Majestic has two patches with a thick white border and fake stitches. It looks pretty cheesy up close and certainly not the $85 or so it retails for at the team store.

I’m not blaming the Nationals; this is all on Majestic. What do they have against the Nats?

The script Washington t-shirt looks just fine, so I’ll probably just get that instead.
