The Nats trailed Houston 4-0 early with John Lannan giving up an unearned run in the first and three earned runs in the fifth. The Nats cut the lead in half in the fifth and in the sixth, took advantage of erratic Astros pitching to score 7 times in the inning. Lannan got his first 2009 win. 3B Ryan Zimmerman had four hits and extended his hitting steak to 22 games.

Reliever Joe Beimel did not get as much rehab in the minors as hoped, so he threw 25 pitches last night at Nationals Park bullpen. The bigger issue though is that he is a legend (Just a Nats Fan).

I’m going to today’s 12:35 p.m. game. I’ll be in section 112. I am hoping to bike over, but that decision won’t be made for a couple of more hours.
