Nats fall to Dodgers in L.A.; Zimmerman extends streak

Another bullpen meltdown dooms NatsThe Wash. Times
Surprisingly, Daniel Cabrera got through six innings, but ultimately got charged with five runs. Mike Hinckley and Logan Kensing continued the tradition of being fireman (in the Fahrenheit 451 sense) and by the time the sixth was over, Los Angeles was up 9-1. Hey, at least the Nats got two runs after that and the Legendary Joe Beimel pitched a scoreless inning in his old stomping grounds.

3B Ryan Zimmerman got a single in the first inning to extend his hitting streak to 24 games. The Dodgers have not yet lost at home this year — going 13-0. That is a record.
