Hernandez, Nats Crushed By Dodgers – The Post
Disaster from the start – The Wash. Times
Ugh, the Nationals lost 14-2 loss to the Dodgers. Livan Hernandez or perhaps his evil twin, ¿Navil? gave up eight runs, including seven in the fourth. He wasn’t the only culprit in the blowout as the bullpen was also bad and ultimately, the Nats struggled in all aspects of the game.
That was Washington’s 99th loss this year.
Bright Future Awaits Desmond Somewhere – The Post
Desmond’s ultimate position still up in the air – The Wash. Times
The Nats don’t know what to do with Ian Desmond. In nine major league games Desmond has played second base five times. He had been a shortstop during his time in the minors, but is getting a look elsewhere. Jim Riggleman thinks he might be best in centerfield. Desmond can make great plays in the infield, but has a pretty high rate of errors too.
