Sparkling Debut For Nats’ DreseThe Post
The newest member of the rotation Ryan Drese pitched eight shutout innings. Chad Cordero then made it very interesting by loading the bases in the ninth with no outs, but pitched out of the jam and got his MLB leading 21st save. It seems like a perfect way to close out an intense series like this one.

C Brian Schneider won the game with a solo shot in the sixth.
