Apparently finishing last means releasing your spring training schedule last. The Nats finally released their spring training, held in Viera, Fla. (even better) schedule. Some important dates to remember:
January 23 – spring training tickets go on sale*
February 19 – pitchers and catchers report
February 24 – position players report
February 26 – full squad workout
March 4 – first games (split-squad at Astros, Marlins)
March 6 – first home game
April 3 – final spring training game, vs. Boston Red Sox at Nationals Park
* except for March 12 tickets vs. New York Yankees which means they are probably trying to come up with a different ticket price for it.
