The snow storms that have blasted the mid-Atlantic have not been too hard on the Jersey Shore. There has been erosion, but none of it is particularly troubling.

Since I am on the topic of the Shore, I figure I ought to offer my thoughts on MTV’s “Jersey Shore”, a “reality” show featuring six idiots (only one of whom is actually from New Jersey) summering in Seaside Heights. I didn’t watch it. I’m not going to watch it, I’ve got better things to do than watch an over-tanned hobbit. I am choosing to believe that this is just another example of scaring people away from NJ so those of us who know how great it is won’t be bothered by newcomers.
