Leonsis: ‘We’ll End Up Buying’ the Wizards – DCist
At a booksigning for the Business of Happiness, Ted Leonsis said “It’s my intention and expectation that everything is going to work out fine and that it will be done the right way and that we’ll own the Caps and the Wizards and the building.” Apparently, he had used the word “definitely” originally. He also praised the Pollin family.
Since the sale did not go through at the first opportunity, the Pollins have increased their media presence and the past history of John Kent Cooke failing to buy the Redskins from his father Jack Kent Cooke’s estate, Washingtonians have reason to be wary. I’m trying not to be and hope that Leonsis is correct and gets the Wizards, Verizon Center and the D.C. Ticketmaster franchise.
Leonsis is chatting on The Post Web site at 12:30 p.m.
